SeatMap replaced an error-prone spreadsheet with a real-time, colour-coded map of every workstation on a 561-desk seat-leasing floor — bridging physical desks, the clients leasing them, and the network ports they are wired to.
The challenge
Seat assignments lived in a spreadsheet and a printed floor plan. At 561 desks the gaps started to cost time and money: answering a simple 'how many seats are free next month?' meant cross-checking rows and walking the floor, and the spreadsheet drifted out of sync with reality — leading to double-booked desks and awkward client conversations.
The solution
SeatMap is a digital twin of the actual floor — all 561 workstations placed in their true positions, so the on-screen map matches what people see when they walk it. Tap any seat to set its client, network port, status and notes; every tenant gets a colour so the whole floor is readable at a glance; a capacity gauge updates in real time; and every change is logged for accountability.
